What is the SMD Cosmetics Guarantee?

At SMD Cosmetics, we treasure every customer. The following are promises we make to you as part of our guarantee:

    • Free shipping on all U.S. orders over $100
    • Returns: we are sorry you didn't love your SMD product. We want you to be completely happy with your order. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we will gladly accept your timely return. Please contact us by filling out the contact form, with the reason of your return and we will send you instructions on where to return it. We must receive your products within 30 days of your purchase.

      The items must at least be half full, in order to be considered for a refund. You will receive a refund to your credit, debit card or paypal account for the purchase, depending on your payment method, which does not include the shipping fees.

      There is a 10% restocking fee. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. We are not responsible for return packages that are lost in transit.

    What forms of payment does SMD Cosmetics accept?

    We are pleased to accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards for SMD Cosmetics orders. We also accept Paypal, Apple Pay, and Amazon Pay.

    What if my discount code does not work?  

    Product exclusions may apply and there are discount codes that are time sensitive and may longer be valid.  In addition, many codes are for one time use, only.  Please be sure to enter the codes in correctly, as they are case sensitive.  If you have further questions about your specific discount code, please email support@smdcosmetics.com, as there may be a technical difficulty with your specific code. 

    How do I know if my order was placed successfully? 

    After you place an order on smdcosmetics.com, you will receive an email notification to the email address you provided while placing the order, confirming that we received your order.

    A Client Care Specialist reviews and handles every order. The Order Confirmation email you receive does not confirm your order is being fulfilled and shipped. Once your order is fulfilled and on it’s way, we will send you a Shipment Confirmation email to confirm. If we cannot fulfill your order, a Client Care Specialist will send a follow-up email and the purchase amount will be returned to your method of payment.

    Can I cancel or modify an order once it has been placed?

    To cancel or modify an order, please contact us within one hour after the order has been placed. You may email us at support@smdcosmetics.com. After the hour window, we cannot guarantee the order will be immediately cancelled.

    How often should I use each SMD Cosmetics product and how should I start using the products?

    We understand everyone's skin is unique.  SMD's products are very powerful and natural.  They are meant to pull out toxins from your skin and heal your skin.  When starting our products for the first time, in order to minimize skin reactions of any kind, we highly recommend that you introduce products one at a time, for at least 2-3 days, for best results, to gradually build up to the multi-step system.  This is recommended for individuals who have a history of sensitive skin or those who have been using a lot of harsh chemical-based products or products with ingredients that are known to be toxic.  SMD Cosmetics skincare is gentle enough for daily use.  Please visit the specific product pages for more detail on each product.

    Where are the products formulated?

    All products are formulated and manufactured in South Korea.

    Where can I find a retailer that carries SMD Cosmetics?

    Currently we prefer to sell to our customers directly, but we are sold in a few selected locations;

    Nigel’s Beauty Emporium in Los Angeles, ShopMKC, Bella Skin Institute and Amazon.

    Can I return/exchange products purchased from a retailer on SMD Cosmetics?

    Any products purchased at one of our retail partners, must be returned to that retail partner.  Only products ordered from smdcosmetics.com may be returned to smdcosmetics.com.

    Are the products tested on animals?

    We do not test on animals.

    When do I use AloGel in my routine?

    AloGel is recommended either before or after your Toner. All serums follow the AloGel.

    Can I keep SMD products in the refrigerator?

    Yes you can refrigerate AloGel, although not required.

    When should I use each product?

    In general follow a thinnest to thickest rule of thumb.  Cleanse, tone, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen or night cream. Our video on the home page gives a step by step process.  Introduce products slowly,  including patch test

    Are the products gluten free?

    Yes they are.

    Are products vegan?  

    Yes. Except Saromae Snail Serum.

    Are any snails harmed or snails in the products?

    No Snails are not harmed and snails are not in the formulation, only snail secretion.  We are an animal cruelty free.
